I'm a London-based entrepreneur and angel investor who has spent my career building financial-technology companies.

I'm the founder and Executive Chairman of ComplyAdvantage, which I started in 2014 to give firms real-time, data-driven tools for detecting financial crime and money laundering. The idea came directly from the frustration of managing compliance myself and finding that nothing on the market gave me the insight I needed.

Before that I co-founded and led MarketFinance, one of Europe's earliest fintech lenders, and earlier worked as an investment banker at J.P. Morgan Cazenove. At sixteen I founded The Student Room, which grew into the world's largest online student community. I read Politics at Trinity College, Cambridge and hold an MSc from the LSE.

Alongside my own companies, I'm an active angel investor in more than 190 early-stage businesses across fintech, compliance, SaaS and AI. Explore the portfolio →
